Jean-Michel Abrassart is a Ph.D. candidate in psychology at the Catholic University of Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium). His main focus of interest is the study of the UFO phenomena. He published his first book in 2010 on the topic of the psychology of paranormal belief, La croyance au paranormal: Facteurs prédispositionnels et situationnels (Éditions universitaires européennes, 2010). He is an active member of the French ufological group Comité Nord-Est des Groupes Ufologiques and of the skeptical organisation L'Observatoire Zététique.
